The first 100 entries are assured a ride, if places remain entries will be accepted on the day at the Secretary's discretion. Entries to be addressed to the Secretary of the Meeting and must enclose the entry fee and a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

This is the second and final event in a 2-trial series organised at the request of British Cycling to assist in their British Team selection for the UCI World Championship events. Everyone is encouraged to attend the event and have a good day's riding at an excellent venue. The results will be passed to British Cycling who may contact you in due course. The event will be run to UCI trials rules, a summary is below.

DECLARATION: I, the undersigned apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof:-
* I hereby declare that I have had the opportunity to read, and that I understand the BikeTrial Rules, and Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.
* I further declare that I am physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and am competent to do so.
* I confirm that I understand the nature and type of event I am entering and its inherent risks and agree to accept the same notwithstanding that such risks may involve negligence on the part of the organisers or officials.
* I confirm that the bicycle as described below which I compete on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose.
* I agree that I am required to register my arrival by signing-on at the designated place not less than 30 minutes prior to commencement of my practice or first competition, whichever occurs first.

Acknowledgement of the risks of the sport: I understand that by taking part in this event I am exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the organiser, the promoter, the organising club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity.

DIRECTIONS TO BLACKPOOL, NORTH SHORE, LANCASHIRE.

M6 onto the M55. Take the A583 signed to Blackpool North Shore. Keep following the signs for North Shore. Parking available either in the "Gynn Square Car Park" or on street parking. The event will be signposted from Gynn Square, and is on the lower promenade heading towards the north pier.

ACCOMMODATION:- Blackpool is a holiday resort with a large range of types of accommodation, including hotels, bed & breakfast, camping etc. Contact the Tourist Information office on 01253 478222.

FIRST AID:- First Aid will be on-site throughout the event. Outside those times, the nearest Accident and Emergency Department is at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Whinney Heys Road, Blackpool, FY3 8NR. Telephone 01253 300000

UCI Rules for this event

Time  
  • 2½ minutes per section is allowed.
  • For each 15 seconds over time, 1 point is added until the maximum of 5 points is used.

Scoring / Penalty points

The normal Biketrial Federation rules apply in addition to the following:-

 
  • Scores of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (5 is the maximum in any section)
  • Each touch of the foot on any part of the section 1 point
  • Touch of the hand or any part of the body other than the foot 5 points
  • Each part of the bike in contact with the section apart from the tyres 1 point
  • The bike or pedals may touch the section after a foot is on the ground, but may not after the foot is lifted, otherwise each part 1 point
  • No axle point to go outside of section tape vertical line, otherwise 5 points
  • All axles to pass gate of colour (ie front, bottom bracket, rear). The bottom bracket axle may not bridge the tape or gate point, otherwise 5 points
  • No person/minder may speak to the rider in the section or give him/her any help. With the observer's permission, a minder may enter the section to stand at a safety point. Otherwise 5 points
